The Lighter Side

Now, that’s just corny-mazing

Corn Maze 911

Every fall season, it happens. In fields everywhere, cornstalks are toppled in random patterns. No, these events are not caused or created by extra-terrestrials. These are the popular corn mazes. Kids, couples, families, church and civic groups all make annual treks through these tassled twists and turns for hours with much enjoyment.

However, not everyone has the predicted fun. A family in Danvers, Massachusetts recently found themselves lost inside a seven-acre corn maze designed to resemble a headless horseman.

As darkness began to set in, the mom began to panic and called 911 for assistance. When police officers arrived with a tracker dog, the family was rescued in a matter of minutes.

Ironically, they were only about 25 feet from the highway.

Have a happy and safe Halloween!
